California is in a serious drought and mandatory water-use restrictions are in effect. To help the San Diego region meet its water-use targets, the San Diego County Water Authority and its 24 member agencies developed the When in Drought water waste reporting mobile app. The app helps water agencies throughout San Diego County identify potential water waste by enabling their customers to report anything from broken sprinklers to excess watering.
You can use the app to:
• Report water waste by selecting from a dropdown list of common water waste issues. The app also allows you to submit a more detailed description of the issue, and upload a photo or video. Your report will then be submitted to the water agency that serves the area where the issue is reported.
• Learn about water-use restrictions and conservation programs available in your area.
• Discover tips for reducing your indoor and outdoor water use.
• Learn more about statewide and local drought conditions.
Connect with the San Diego County Water Authority on its whenindrought.org website and on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
